THE FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM
The chahada is to testify that there is no God except Allah and
that Mohamed is His Messenger.
"La ilaha illa Allah wa Mohamadane rassoulou Lahi"
This is the most important pillar in Islam
that rejects all types of polytheism adoration. Polytheism
adoration is not only to adore statues but to live for a passion
like money, glory... Allah is The Greatest, The Highest, The
Creator... He is the owner of all things in our universe. Our
body, our parents, our children, all our possessions are the
property of Allah. That is why when someone dies, Allah retakes
His property. It is the reason why Allah prohibits us to destroy
the Earth by economic war, pollution... and especially to kill or
to hurt someone without reason, and so on. The word
"Allah" is the global name of God but He has different
names and attributes like The Creator, The Greatest, The Higher,
The Forgiver, the Kindness...
Mohamed (peace be upon him) is the last
Messenger of Allah. He was chosen to present Unicity of Allah, to
change the people comportment and to bring the last holy book
"The Qor'an". His mission is for all human beings.
The Salat or the prayer : All the Muslims have to accomplish five prayers a
day. It is a way to be directly in contact with God and to
resource soul, heart..... It is not simply a series of gesture
but it includes different types of adoration.
The Zakat is like a "tax" on our possessions
(money, gold, cattle, harvest...). This tax is directly paid to
poor people and permits to build schools, hospitals, public
structures... It is a way for the muslim, who can pay it, to be
purified and to share a small part of his possessions.
The siam or the fast. During the islamic month of
Ramadan, all the muslims have to fast during 29 or 30 days. This
pillar is a way for the muslim to be detached from the physical
world and to purify his soul, his heart and his body. During this
holy month, the muslims have to increase their good actions and
to remind of their conditions. The fast is not an obligation for
the sick persons, the travellers and anybody who fears for his
health.
The Hadj or pilgrimage : once in the life of someone who
has money and health, the pilgrimage is a travel to saudi Arabia.
The Muslim meets all the muslims of the world, different nations
are represented. The Muslim discovers the location where lived
Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) and his companions and the
holies locations like kaaba, Arafat Mount, Medina town... The
Prophet says that any person who makes the pilgrimage with
sincerity is like a newborn baby. This pillar is a complete
purification of the Muslim.
THE SIX PILLARS OF FAITH
The belief in God is the first and logical one. It is not only to
believe but especially to know God and how to make a real
adoration. So the muslim has to learn his religion by reading
books, listening to islamic supports.... Muslims practice with a
real conviction in science, certainty, acceptation and submission
of the divine law, fidelity, sincerety and love. Without science
it is impossible to practice a real adoration.
The belief in Angels: All the Muslims have to accept that God created
Angels of light. There are differents types of Angels like
messengers (Gabrial), the Death Angel, Mercies Angels...
The belief in holy books God chose Prophets and Messengers and gave us a
Message. The Muslim believes in the David Psaums, Torah of Moise,
Evangel of Jesus and Qor'an of Mohamed (peace be upon them).
The belief in Prophets Muslims have to believe that God chose different
persons to bring the divine message and among them, Abraham,
David, Solomon, Joseph, Moise, Jesus and Mohamed the Last
Messenger. (Peace be upon them). A prophetic sentence says that
God sent more than 313 prophets.
The belief in the Judgement
day This day
will come and everybody after his death will be revived and
judged by God about four moments in his life : his life in
general, his youth, his possessions and his science. So everybody
has to prepare his life for these four questions to avoid Hell
for the Paradise. They have to live in an obedient law of God,
The belief in the destiny God knows all things before their
creation. Destiny is a part of the Science of God...
